Formed in Chelmsford 14 years ago, D’Ukes are a highly entertaining 6-piece electric ukulele covers band and are one of the longer lasting ukulele bands in Essex. D’Ukes skill in reinterpreting songs using only the ukulele (with a hint of percussion and plenty of humour) amazes audiences. Their repertoire suits all tastes and ages and with their great vocals, slick solos and exciting rhythms they will get the audience singing, dancing and smiling.
They have sold out theatres, played major festivals, performed on both BBC and local community radio, made TV appearances, performed at music festivals in both the Czech Republic and Poland and performed alongside some of the bigger names in the international ukulele world! D’Ukes are Brian Smith; Dave Warren; Hazel Smith; Jo Kerr; John Mattock and Martin Burdikin.
